COUNCIL OF DISTRICT EXECUTIVES

Council of District Executives

Look to the COUNCIL OF DISTRICT EXECUTIVES for district staff information, committees, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, district events, and surface mailing addresses. Since the early 1970s, district staff have combined their efforts through this Council to provide a vehicle for professional excellence and growth, dealing with issues and concerns affecting the entire church, and as a channel through which other bodies and agencies of the church have been able to benefit. The 2001 Annual Conference took action to “recognize the Council of District Executives as an organization within the denomination, where Annual Conference agencies share information, participate in mutual ministry discussion, and explore the various voices of district and agency life, leadership, and ministries.”

MISSION STATEMENTS

Mission Statement

Many districts, congregations, agencies, and camps have adopted MISSION STATEMENTS to add individual expression or more intensely communicate the focus of their ministry. These are usually brief statements of Evangelical vision or practical discipleship. If your Brethren group would like to share their Mission Statement with the wider church family, send it to the Mission Statements. Please be sure to include the full organizational name and the date of adoption if it is known.

“Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18
