For the 40th year, the Mid-Atlantic and SO PA Districts are co-sponsoring a Meat Canning project which previously has enjoyed a generous response and enthusiastic support. The project is scheduled for April 17-20, 24 & 25 (SIX DAYS), at the Christian Aid Ministries facility. The 2017 Meat Canning goal is to can approximately 50,000 pounds of chicken in six days of processing. From 2003 through 2016, the two Districts’ congregations gave a total of $1,040,408.64 toward this project.

The Witness Commission of Pennsylvania Southern District challenges congregations to raise $26,000 to build church buildings in the Great Lakes area of Africa. The Southern Pennsylvania District, through the Carlisle Church of the Brethren, has two new church plants, along with a couple of preaching points. Started in January 2014, we are excited to see our District grow...even though it is a little far away. The churches are in Rwanda, Africa! Deadline January 15, 2017.Cover Letter

The Program and Arrangements Committee sets the registration fees and they are meeting August 7-11. We do not anticipate any change from this past year, but it won’t be finalized until after they meet. Advance registration should still be $285/delegates and $105/non-delegates. Registration will open mid-February and close at the beginning of June. Exact dates are not quite finalized.
